At KPD Community Living, we provide safe, stable and supportive care pathways for adults and young people across Gloucestershire.


Our services are built around three core principles:

Safe • Stable • Supported

We deliver high-quality Supported Living today, with Children’s Residential Homes and Domiciliary Care expanding as part of our wider organisational development.

🟩 1. Supported Living 

What is Supported Living?

Supported Living enables adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism and low–moderate Mental Health needs to live independently in a safe, structured home environment while receiving personalised support based on assessed need.

 

KPD Community Living specialises in small, calm and community-based homes that promote dignity, independence and long-term stability.

Who We Support

We support:

  • Adults (18+) with Learning Disabilities

  • Autistic adults

  • Young people aged 18–25 transitioning from children’s services

  • Individuals stepping down from residential, inpatient or out-of-county placements

  • Adults with low–moderate Mental Health needs (where appropriate)

 

Our Support Model

Our Supported Living model includes:

  • Person-centred support

  • Daily living skills & independence development

  • Community integration & activities

  • Emotional regulation & confidence building

  • Health appointment support

  • Flexible shared hours & 1:1 support

  • Needs-based sleep-in provision

  • Clear safeguarding & risk management processes

  • Partnership working with families, commissioners & professionals

 

Our Homes

Our Supported Living properties are located across Gloucestershire, including:

  • GL3 (3-bed SL)

  • GL51 (3-bed SL)

  • GL1, GL51, GL2 — Pipeline homes (12–16 week mobilisation)

 

Each home offers:

  • Long-term stability through PropCo ownership/long leases

  • Community-based locations close to amenities

  • Safe, modern and homely environments

  • 2–3 residents to keep placements calm and predictable

  • Staff support delivered according to assessed need

🟦 2. Children’s Residential Homes (In Development)

Our Children’s Residential division is launching as part of KPD’s long-term growth strategy.

Our Vision for Children’s Homes

From 2025–2026 we will begin opening 3–4 bed Ofsted-registered homes designed to provide:

  • Safe, nurturing environments

  • Trauma-informed care

  • Skilled, trained residential staff

  • Strong safeguarding & therapeutic approaches

  • Clear transition pathways into Supported Living at adulthood

 

Our model supports children and young people aged 8–17 with:

  • Learning Disabilities

  • Autism

  • Emotional/behavioural needs

  • Complex backgrounds requiring stability and consistency

 

Commissioners will have the reassurance that our pathways provide a stable journey from childhood into adulthood, supported by the same values-led organisation.

 

🟧 3. Domiciliary Care & Community Support (Planned Service)

As part of KPD Group’s wider development, we are introducing Domiciliary Care to support people living independently in their own homes.

Planned services include:

  • Daily living & personal care (delivered through CQC-registered partners or a future KPD CQC subsidiary)

  • Medication support

  • Meal preparation

  • Community access

  • Appointment support

  • Short-term interventions

  • Respite and step-down support

 

This service will complement:

  • Supported Living

  • Hospital discharge

  • Reablement

  • Children’s transition work

  • Carer support

and ensure that KPD can provide a full care pathway from adolescence to adulthood.

  • Incident reporting & analysis

  • Support planning & risk assessments

  • Staff training (LD, Autism, PBS, safeguarding)

  • Quality assurance & regular audits

  • DSPT accreditation - Standards Met

  • NHSmail integration (in development)

  • Clear oversight from KPD Group leadership

 

Quality is monitored, reviewed and continually improved.

We respond to all referral enquiries within 24 hours, and work collaboratively to plan safe, person-centred transitions.
